Educational Establishments
- We design and monitor projects tailored to meet an institution's needs to improve reading and spelling.
- We offer expert advice on projects and policies to local schools and educational authorities.
1999-2001: Consultant for "Getting ready for reading" research project on early literacy carried out in Tower Hamlets and Isle of Dogs. Funded by the Isle of Dogs Community Foundation.
2001-2002: Consultant and Chief Researcher for KS2 catch-up project on literacy carried out in the Isle of Dogs. Funded by the Canary Wharf Group.
2001-2002: Consultant to the LeapFrog Literacy Research Project via the Wright Partnership on a project involving early years' literacy as part of their "Bringing Literacy to Life" project.
2002-2004: Consultant to the DfES on a project to develop diagnostic assessment materials for the assessment of adults in Further Education.
2002-2004: Member of the Dyslexia Advisory Group set up by the DfES's Adult Basic Skills Strategy Unit for a project entitled "A Framework for Understanding Dyslexia".
2002-2004: Consultant to the National Research and Development Centre for Adult Literacy and Numeracy (NRDC) and the Adult Basic Skills Strategy Unit.
2005-2006: Expert consultant to DfES on project entitled "Supporting Dyslexic Learners in Different Contexts".
2005 - present: Member of the National Committee for Standards in SpLD Assessment and Training (SASC) with remit from the DfES to accredit courses for training teachers/tutors for the SpLD Assessment Practising Certificate.
2006: Advisor to the ARK Education on a project involving developing literacy at secondary school.
